We are
a professional communications consultancy. Our mission is to
assist corporations and organizations in the
conceptualization and deployment of superior communications
solutions as a basis for their accelerated performance in
the marketplace and in turn, the growth and development of
our people and company.
Founded on
September 15, 2004, XLR8 (pronounced “excelerate”) has
quickly grown to become one of Nigeria’s leading
communications consultancies.
Our
cardinal philosophies
- We
believe we can best add value to our clients’ businesses
if we relentlessly strive to fully understand their
businesses particularly within the context of the
industries in which they operate.
- We
believe in creativity as defined by the impact of our
communication strategies. Communication, therefore, must
be effective to be “creative”.
- We
believe that excellent communication strategies,
superbly deployed can accelerate the accomplishment of
business objectives.
- We
believe in the dignity and resilience of man and have
utmost adoration for his maker, Almighty God.
Our clientele
In
only a few years, XLR8’s clientele has included some of the
world’s most respected brands including IBM, Ericsson,
Cisco, Nokia and MTN.
In 2004 XLR8 conceived the idea of an annual exposition and
seminar series whose objective would be to expand and deepen
the adoption and use of technological products and services
in Nigeria. The company resolutely pursued the idea to
fruition with the inauguration of the annual eNNOVATE Expo
series in 2005.
eNNOVATE Expo is now in its third year and has witnessed
participation by leading brands that include MTN, Nokia,
Hewlett Packard, DHL, APC, Ericsson, Starcomms, among others
and high level attendance led by Nigeria’s minister of
communications.
Insight: One of our strongest points
XLR8 has its
origins in the client side of the business. Our founder’s
background as a former client with leading corporations in
Nigeria, has helped to bequeath an edge to XLR8 as a
consultancy that in clearly understanding and fully
appreciating the peculiar needs and expectations of clients,
works proactively to fulfill those needs, often to the
delight of clients.
A constant drive to fully understand the workings of the ICT
industry to which majority of our clients belong, has seen
us continuously amass growing competence in our
understanding and appreciation of the workings of the
industry. It has also seen us attract some of the brightest
ICT journalists and analysts in Nigeria. These include
Adewole Ojo, the 2005 First Place Winner in Technology
Reporting in Africa in the United Nations Economic
Commission for Africa AISI initiative; and John Awe, former
Lagos Bureau Chief for the Nigerian Tribune and analyst for
Middle East and Africa Wireless, a publication of the
Informa Telecoms Group of London.
At XLR8, we share a good understanding of the journalist’s
psyche and the West African media environment as well as
excellent inter-personal relationships with journalists. We
have also developed a fairly robust understanding of the
intricacies of the region’s socio economic environment.
Our background and predisposition towards excellence help
ensure that our insight of communication issues is robust
and guaranteed to deliver on sound strategy.
